“The course of true love never did run smooth.” This heartwarming introduction sounds like a conflict of love and lovers that seem to be like a dream, but anyone who has read A MIDSUMMER NIGHT’S DREAM by William Shakespeare knows that the four main lovers, Hermia, Lysander, Demetrius, and Helena, are not having a dream but a fight for true love. This unusual love story starts out before a wedding day of the Duke where there is another conflict between Hermia and Egeus, the father of Hermia. Egeus wants Hermia to marry Demetrius or choose death. Hermia chooses death, rather than marring Demetrius, because she loves Lysander more. This tragic love is the moral of A MIDSUMMER NIGHT’S DREAM which is also very appropriate today as it was written in Shakespeare’s time: “Love can cause many things to happen unexpected.”

“Bye Bye Old Pal”


On a bright and sunny day, a man was walking along a beach looking at the water as it glittered. He then remembered his friend and began to laugh about all the fun times he had with him. He wondered how his friend was living and decided to meet him tonight at “The Blue Moon.” He called his friend and told him to come to “The Blue Moon” at 10:30. The friend said yes and the man was really happy.

The man went early to wait for his friend, but the friend did not come. So he called him back but the friend did not answer. The man was unhappy and was about to leave then suddenly the friend ran to him. The man asked him why he was late but the friend did not answer. They talked all night long and had fun. They departed at 12:00. The man was happy to see his friend again. They met twice a week to enjoy the night of all the tired work. Then one day, while he was walking in the street, he saw a man killing a woman and robbing all her possessions. The man recognized the murderer but tried to stop him but couldn’t catch him. The man decided to meet his friend tonight to find out who he really was. Then on that night, he found out that his friend was the murderer, but couldn’t arrest him because he was his best friend. So the man just let his friend go and he went on his way. After another 10 years, the murderer was captured by the police but the murderer was the man and the friend was already dead.

Volunteerism; Our hope for a better community”

Volunteerism is the willingness of the people to work on behalf of others without any pay, profit, or gain. In many countries a lot of people volunteer to help the community but some countries they do not have volunteerism or they do a state-provided service. The community needs volunteerism because it is a way of increasing the population and helping the nation grow even more. When you volunteer for something that helps the community, it really means a lot to people and the nation because that something might be saving someone’s life or saving everyone. Volunteers such as rescuers, guides, assistants, teachers, missionaries, and writers all help the community by there positions. Most important are the rescuers because they rescue people who are in danger and save many lives. Next are the missionaries because they go around places giving the message of God for their salvation. Thirdly, the teachers because they give education to children, and last, guides, assistants, and writers. Even though they get paid, they really help the community.
In economics, voluntary employment is used a lot. Voluntary employment means unpaid employment. Charity and community services or vocation are examples of voluntary employment. People do charity to collect money for the orphanage or other community services which involves many people. In modern societies, the basic value is people helping people and others working for their benefits. Also for a community to have a strong volunteerism they need support from the people and from the government. There are two benefits from volunteerism. First, economics and second, social. Most volunteers are funded or paid by the state or a private capital which equals up to the economics. Volunteering helps to build more communities, fostering great truth and understanding between the citizens of that nation, and developing norms of solidarity and reciprocity which are essential to many communities.
In volunteerism there are three types of conditionality that has evolved. First, financial accountability, second, policy reform, and third, development objectives. Many countries have volunteer organizations that help the community by primary missions and services. In modern societies, volunteer organizations are needed and wanted because they help in giving services and collecting money for the people to use. The most important volunteer organization is the government. The government gives the services to volunteers and they are funded for volunteering. Volunteerism equals to a better community and a better community equals to a better and safer environment for the people.

“Citizenship in America”
Citizenship is very important in many countries because it is respect for the government and is an important part in a community. The right of a citizen is to participate in many political activities and systems in a community. Citizenship is a membership in a community but it is also possible to have the rights as a citizen without having a membership. Citizenship is also called nationality and implies working for the community through participation in political systems. In America, citizenship is very important because they have a huge government and have great responsibilities of a citizen. Many people can go to different countries without being a citizen by using a visa and a passport but being a citizen means free to go and back without a passport or a visa.
Citizenship is explained as the political right of an individual within a society but you can still be a citizen of one country and have a national of another country. Many other countries accept dual citizenship but America does not accept. The reason why America does not accept is because of political tension between the two countries. Nationality usually derives from their place of birth and is also known as their ethnicity. My ethnicity is Korean and I have a passport and visa to America. Citizenship and nationality have things in common but are partly different. Citizenship derives from the legal relationship of that country but nationality can be denaturalized and be gained by naturalization.
There are many types of citizenships but sometimes differ from the country or nation their in. Citizenship offers certain rights and privileges within the nation and citizens have the same or similar rights as native citizens but others offer certain privileges only in that country. In America, citizens are well protected abroad and are represented by the United States. They are also allowed to reside in the U.S. states and certain territories without a passport or visa. So citizenship is a very important subject in many nations and is needed to support it for the benefit of the nation.

"THE DEADLY MURDERER"
(kernal paragraph)

The deadly murderer crawled into the quiet and empty room through the back door. his name happened to be Jackson. He looked around but it was hard to see when his hair covered part of his face. The room was dark and creepy. Jackson walked over to the window and looked out but saw no one. He didn't realized that his footsteps made a displeasing noise on the bare floor. He turned around to see if anyone else was there but he only saw the furniture. "Was someone else in the room?" His heart beat faster than a drum. Nothing could stop him now.

“Noah’s Ark”
When God created the earth, it was peaceful and always pleasing to the Lord but when sin entered the earth, it started to change. God was very angry because of the wicked people in the earth. Noah was always pleasing to God and his household was holy. God loved Noah and told him to build an ark because He was going to flood the earth. God also told him to put animals in the ark. Clean animals by 7 and unclean animals by 2. Noah obeyed God and built the ark and paired animals by 7 and 2. The ark was 300 cubits long, 50 cubits broad, and 30 cubits high. It was 3 stories, had 1 window and a door. After Noah finished building the ark, he and his family stayed in the ark for seven days. Then it started to rain. For 40 days and 40 nights it rained continuously. 110 days more, the ark rested on Mount Ararat. After 73 days, the mountain tops were visible. 40 days more, Noah sent out a raven but it didn’t return. Then Noah sent out a dove but also didn’t return. Another 7 days, Noah sent out another dove and it returned. After 29 days, the covering of the ark was removed. 57 days later, Noah went out of the ark and saw dry land. Then God made a rainbow in promise that He would never flood the earth again. Then Noah’s family and all the animals were fruitful and multiplied all over the earth.
